Bacon Cheese Bread
A great looking and tasting appetizer! Super easy and the kids will love it!
Ingredients:
1 loaf of french bread or any other artisan type bread
1/2 cup of italian blend cheese
1/2 package of ranch dressing mix (about a TBS)
1 package of bacon crumbles
1/4 cup parmesean cheese
1/2 stick of butter melted
Your favorite marinara for dipping!
Or mix the remaining ranch mix with 1/4 buttermilk and 1/2 cup mayonaise for Ranch Dip!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and cover a baking pan with foil. Spray lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Take the loaf of bread and cut length wise down the center but not all the way through to the bottom. Do this several more times until you reach the sides of the bread. The turn the bread and cut it across until you have a loaf of bread with lots of little mini squares.
Take the melted butter and mix it with the ranch dressing mix. Drizzle this over the bread, making sure to get some down in the nooks and crannies! Sprinkle the bread with the bacon and top with the parmesean cheese. Finally sprinkle the italian cheese over the top. Bake for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly! Let it rest for 5 minutes and serve with your dipping sauce!
